Questions
How accurate is it?
Mneme uses Phonon-2, a compact speech recognition model that comes close to the accuracy of models many times its size on standard English benchmarks, with punctuation and capitals included. Smart clean-up in Mneme Pro can tidy the result further.
Does Mneme send my voice anywhere?
No. Speech is transcribed on your Mac. Audio is held in memory only while you speak and discarded once it's transcribed.
Do I need an internet connection?
No. The speech model is built into the app, so dictation works offline from the first launch.
Which Macs and languages are supported?
Macs with Apple silicon (M1 or later) running macOS 26 or later. Mneme understands English.
Can I cancel Pro?
Any time, from your App Store account settings. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for. Or choose Lifetime and never think about it again.
